Scripts and Custom Commands  (if you have no experience adding scripts or custom commands, it would be a good idea to start by downloading and reading script.doc updated 11-02-2001

Hatches (if you have no experience adding hatches, it would be a good idea to start by reading Bob Terry's article)

• NuRoof11.zip is a series of 11 roof hatches you can add to your hatches.hat file.  Thank you Bob Terry!

• Here are a couple of new Plywood hatches along with a Batt Insulation hatch similar to hand drawn insulation.  The Batt insulation hatch has one unique feature you need to know about...it is a "one way" hatch in that the scale of the hatch must equal the width of the insulation being drawing, i.e., six inch batt insulation (R-19) must have the hatch scale set to 6.  Thanks to Andy Simasko.

• Bob Terry, guru of all things hatched, adds to his legend with this set of 18 stone hatches.  Contains a .vcd so you can view them and decide which to add to your hatches.hat file.

• Bob Terry has updated StoneTyl18 located in the above set of 18 stone hatches with Aggregat.zip (11/17/01)

• Nineteen custom hatches for VisualCADD in a .zip file.  Originally submitted on Compuserve by Bob Terry.

• Another nine hatches zipped up by Bob T. Be sure and read the .doc file attached to the first set of hatches for tips & tricks on both these files.

• Yet another set of hatches by the inimitable Bob Terry, guru of all things hatched.  This one has seven different woodgrains, great for architectypes, cabinetmakers and other assorted woodbutchers.

• A Hatch utility to convert Generic CADD hatches to VisualCADD.

Fonts

• Pierre Bonnard has supplied us with a Helvetica font that types out in a mirror image of the normal font.  This came at the request of a ser who needed this for creating decals.

• Noel Browning has also converted some fonts for our use.  These are several AutoCAD SHX files that have been converted to VCF files.

• A zip file with 25 fillable VCF vector fonts that emulate common TrueType fonts.  They are intended to supplement and extend the 18 fillable VCF fonts that ship with VisualCADD-v3.  Thanks to Gordon Gibson.

• Six replacement vector fonts for VisualCADD.  Version 3 fonts shipped with some incorrect special character locations, causing problems with degree and diameter signs in dimensioning.  These fonts fix the problem.  An earlier version that shipped with TriTools for VisualCADD had a problem when fonts were used monospace, but that has been corrected in this version.  Courtesy of TriTools Partners.  NOTE: These fonts also shipped with the 3.0.1 patch from IMSI.

Symbols

• A small zip file of electrical symbols for architectural work.  Thanks to Mark Lindstrom for submitting them.
• Door and Window symbols in a 1 MB zip file.  Once unzipped there are about a thousand elevations scattered through 27 .VCD files.  Thanks to Chip Ridout.
• A zip file of "world" symbols that were originally included on the Numera VCADD 1.0 disks.  Included are symbols for Africa, Australia, South America, North America & Europe as well as the whole earth.  Thanks to Bob Morrison.

Line Customizations

• Here's a replacement linetype file that includes all VisualCADD linetypes plus adds several additional AutoCAD and others to the end of the file.  Helpful for those doing ACAD conversions.  Thanks to Noel Browning.

• Lars Rudin has provided us with his latest version of his LineTool program, which allows you to know if you are using Device or World line types by adding a small dialog above your task bar.

Toolbars and Menus

• Menu Button Placement is a tip or two on how to setup menus to minimize mouse movement.  provided by Jerome Nicholas

• Replacement toolbars for VisualCADD that put the properties dropdown boxes on the main toolbar for quick and easy access.  This is a copy of a Version 4 menu supplied by Rick Christopherson.  The new menu, which he has named "AllCommands4.mnu", was specifically tailored for VC4 without any extra customizing files

• Color Swatch.vcd is a simple Visual CADD drawing that displays all of the 256 VCADD colors.  Thanks to Adrian Scott.
