·         PH Spell Checker  Most CADD users are amazed when they first start spell checking their CADD drawings.  Sometimes we misspell a word or two, or maybe our fingers just hit the wrong key.  If you aren't catching your spelling errors, maybe your customers are!  Catching your first spelling error could easily save you enough time and money to pay for PH-Spell.  Check out their site and other applications, click here.

·         Application/zip    3DpointRotation_inCplusplus.zip Rotate array of points in 3D space.  (C++ code)

·         HatchOrigin.VCD Uploaded by : acsimasko               <asimasko@architectsalaska.com> Description : Shows how to use boundary points to control hatch location within the hatched area.

·          Wheeler provides wheel mouse support for VCadd.  Zoom, horizontal and vertical scroll functions are included as well as others.  An additional feature allows a script to be assigned to a mouse left or right button double-click.  For those using a Microsoft Explorer mouse under Win2000, WinMe or WinXP, thumb button support for VCadd is added.  Wheeler supports most wheel mice, including Microsoft and Logitech; VCadd 3 & 4; Win98, WinMe, WinNT 4.0 , Win2K and WinXP.

·         Here is a nice little drawing by Adrian Scott that will really help those who need to get a better grip on VisualCADD.

·         New Shiftlayer from Adrian.a

·         Lates Here is a program called SaveImage by Adrian Scott that saves your   drawing as a *.jpg

·         The Image program allows you to place bitmap images into your VisualCADD drawings.  This program has been available as an example in the VisualCADD SDK and has been recently been updated and some of the glaring bugs worked out.  Installation is the standard....download, unzip to a directory (preferably the VCADD system directory) and follow the readme files.  Thanks a bunch to Adrian Scott for all his hard work.  This is the new version 1.6 posted on June 25, 2001.

·         Printliz to Send Plot/Print files to any printer provided by Chris Grant

·          Write Points lets you save selected points from a VisualCADD drawing into a text file.  provided by Hal Roenick

·         VCGToolKit is an update to the "Hachures" program previously provided by Hal Roenick.  The name was changed to make more sense as 8 tools other than just "Hachures" are included.  (updated 11/21/01)

This program contains 9 V CADD tools..
1) Hachures tool for drawing Hachures
        2) Hachures Ribalog for making the settings
        3) EndTrim Tool which trims the ends of 2 entities to each other
        4) Arc Dimension tool which allows you to place dimensions indicating the length of an arc
        5) Shade Tool which shades the elevation of radiused surfaces
        6) Symbol Scaler to change the scale of all selected symbols
        7) Match Change tool which changes selected entities to match an entity you select
        8) Match Fillet Radius which will set the fillet radius by selecting an entity
        9) Match Fillet Radius Fillet which is the same as above but starts the fillet tool after
           setting the fillet radius.

·         A utility that allows you add a cloud revision to your VCADD drawings.  By Hal Roenick.

·         This simple utility allows you select and then quickly change any entities in your drawing to the current property settings for layer, color, linetype and width.  By Hal Roenick.

·         A utility that allows you both name views and zoom to those views using 2 letter commands.  There are additional options, including the ability to quickly loop through all your named views.  Many thanks to Gudmund Madsen.

·         FontSpy.zip contains new files from Noel Browning that will allow you to view and print out the complete character set of any TrueType or VisualCADD vector font.

·         printliz.exe Send Plot/Print files to any printer.  Uploaded  chris_grant_vc    10/10/2001

·         A Line Scale utility posted by Hal Roenick.  Gives you the ability --as in Generic CADD-- to set the overall line scale in each drawing .  Uses the familiar LZ shortcut from GCADD.  Download the EXE file and follow the install instructions.  Mapmakers and surveyors are going to love this.

·         An update to the dimension utility that was recently posted to this site by Marvin Horst.  He has replaced the .EXE with a .DLL and has moved the settings from the Registry to an .INI file, so that it is now completely compatible with VCADD3 as well as 2.xx.  It automatically sets the dimension settings relative to the text size.  Also included is the complete source code in Borland C++ Builder.

·         A print utility where you select drawings to a list, check the files you want printed, and press a button to start the process, without having VisualCADD running.  The zip file includes the .exe file that is placed in your VCADD folder, and also the full source code in Delphi 4.  Submitted by Gudmund Madsen.

·         The "Scales" zip file includes 2 modules, Scales and PlaceText.  Scales lets you change all of the applicable settings (like text height and all dimension settings) in VisualCADD with a couple of mouse clicks.  PlaceText works along with Scales allowing you to place text lines in your drawings automatically, and is especially suited to title blocks.  The size of the text placed is based on your current text height.  Thanks to Hal Roenick.

·         Import MS Excel spreadsheets into VisualCADD.  Here are examples for Excel97 and Excel95.  Thanks to Hal Roenick.

·         A set of utilities that lets you replace text strings, track down double entity entries, and delete short phantom entities that can cause problems with redraws etc.  Submitted by Hal Roenick.

·         The CurvText tool lets you align text to an arc.  Marvin Horst recently wrote to say that he authored it and posted it originally on the Compuserve forum.

·         4Vcfmkr2.zip is an updated version of the utility to make your own custom fonts or edit existing ones.  It replaces Vcfmkr21.zip.  It also contains .VCD drawings that let you review all characters in any VCADD font.  Very handy for finding the ASCII key combo for special characters!

·         A simple utility to import 2d points from a comma or tab delimited text file into VisualCADD.

·         Join32.zip is a utility allowing you to join a set of separate lines into one entity.  Run this in 2.04 - in version 3 it ships as part of the program from IMSI.

·         Unzip this and find a text file with a listing in alphabetical order of all the 2 letter shortcuts that reside in the Alias.cmd file.  The alias.cmd file has the native commands in alphabetical order rather than the shortcuts.  With this file, it's much faster to quickly find an unused 2-letter shortcut to apply to the custom command you've just created.  This is a file from version 2.04.  Version 4.* includes this as a feature of the help file.

·         VCG Tools gives you over 20 custom commands to use with VisualCADD.  You can now toggle many settings with a 2L shortcut, and assign Leaders, Hatches and Fills to a specific layer.  This freeware project has grown into a commercial release, with 75 commands not available in the VCADD interface, including Multi-lines, Multi-breaks, Text and Leaders typed right onscreen, and a ton of other features.  It's called TriTools for VisualCADD .

·         A small .EXE file that locates all instances of a given text string on the current layer of a drawing.  The author uses it with maps, which sometimes have thousands of text identifiers to find.  Thanks to Lee Johnson.

Scripts, Hatches, Symbols & other Custom Stuff  for VisualCADD

These files have been moved to the "customize" page.

Programming Files (additional files and links can be found here)

·         Try the VisualCADD Developer's Kit to find a ton of programming examples, including complete API help files, 16 & 32 bit versions of samples for C++, Visual Basic and Delphi, and various support headers (C++) and modules (VB, Delphi).  All these samples have been recently updated.  Some great stuff!

·         This utility is a DLL that will call Visual Basic OLE DLL's from a VisualCADD script.  Once unzipped open the ReadMe.doc file for full instructions.  The zip file also includes the complete VC++ project related code that built OLECADD.DLL.  Jeff Winter is THE MAN.

        Freeware Files

§         Keystroke is a killer 2.xx utility that will allow you to write VCADD scripts which do everything a regular script will do (natives and aliases), plus allow the script to enter input into all tools and dialog boxes that normally cannot be accessed by a script.  In addition, prompts for user input and object placements can be mixed with pre-recorded keystrokes in a flexible way.

·         This freeware utility allows you to toggle the middle button of a three-button mouse on to use as a double click for other programs, and then off to get the proper button assigns in VisualCADD.  There are seven other useful options if you don't want to use the double click.  An icon sits in the tray on your Taskbar for easy and fast access.

        Other Apps & Utilities

§         If you need software to unzip the files on this site, download WinZip --it's one of the best and pretty easy to use.  It's a self-executing file; follow the directions and soon you'll be unzipping like a pro.

·         An aclt.pgp file for AutoCAD LT, which assigns Generic/VisualCADD keyboard shortcuts to their closest ACAD counterpart.  The file ships with LT, but Bob Morrison has customized this one.  Note: if you double click on it in most browsers it will open as a text file, so to download it right click instead and pick "Save Link As" ("Save Target As" in MS Explorer).

·         A shareware utility called Keyboard Express that is essentially a macro recorder.  It allows you to add user input, tabs and returns, etc. into VisualCADD commands.  It also automates keystrokes in other Windows applications --use it to add custom signatures or body of text to your e-mails, or fill out online forms with minimal typing.  Download via the first link or read about it here.

·         An interesting utility that allows you to re-map the keys on your keyboard.  Check out the website first for info including a screen shot or download it from here.

·         An updated version of the shareware package for mechanical engineers using Corel VisualCADD 2.0, consisting of five interactive commands which aid in the creation of 3D views of solid objects.  If you've had trouble downloading this 1.24 MB file, try again.  Be sure and read the installation instructions first.

·         All kinds of Stage logos and emblems thanks to Jeff Salzberg.  Stage.zip

·         Color Swatch.vcd is a simple Visual CADD drawing that displays all of the 256 VCADD colors.  Thanks to Adrian Scott.
