The owner of VisualCadd is TriTools.  At their site, you can find the current patches for VisualCadd (version 5) (with Version 6 in the oven!) as well as a downloadable 30-day demo version.  You can also purchase the program directly from them.  Their site includes support and contact information and a form to post bugs and suggestions.  Also available there is TriTools for Visual CADD, a toolkit with a bunch of features that will make your work more productive.

CAD Products & Stuff

• 600,000 designs plotter and cutter ready.  A good 50% are strictly for the memorial industry but you'll find the other half is generic in nature.  MyDrawingBoard was the very first archive of vector art (1981) online and is by far still the largest.  www.mydrawingboard.com

• PHSpell is a spell checker and PHLine is a series of tools for creating different line types, both for Visual CADD.  Order and read about them in an article from a previous CADD Chronicles written by James Barkshire.  A demo version of PH-Spell is now available at www.shieldsandlee.com/ph-software.

•   for Visual CADD is a "Drawing System" coupled with a large collection of useful tools and utilities.   The program now has the ability to Import and Export Macros or Batch Files (Including limited support for Generic CADD Batch files) and has a Bill of Material program to export your Symbols and Attribute counts.   With Scalz,  there are literally hundreds of additional tools at your disposal from your menu or 3 letter commands.

• The Microsoft Explorer Web browser home page.

• Here's the Netscape Navigator/Communicator home page, where you can link to download the latest browser and suites.

•       Mozilla is a web-browser built for 2004 with advanced e-mail and newsgroup client, IRC chat client and HTML editing made simple.

• Opera is the web browser for those who want something fast, are willing to pay for it, and stubbornly refuse the Microsoft and AOL juggernauts. 

• NewsPro is an excellent multiserver capable newsreader with strong binary support.

• Panicware provides a number of utilities to enhance Internet privacy.  A favorite is the freeware Pop-Up Stopper, which prevents a page from opening other pages, either in front of or behind your main window.

• Zonelabs is the publisher of ZoneAlarm, the highly rated personal firewall.  You should not be using a broadband connection without it!  The basic version is free for personal use.  ZoneAlarm is the only personal firewall to meet with Steve Gibson's approval.  (If you don't know who Steve Gibson is, check out his site at www.grc.com to learn more about Internet security than you probably want to know)

• Webroot is the publisher of Window Washer, an excellent utility to clear out your history files, delete unwanted cookies and keep your system cleaner and more secure.
